Frye Island Golf Club
Frye Island Golf Club is located 25 miles west of Portland and as the name suggests is on an island…
Maine is truly home to both the best of golf the way you remember it and spectacular new courses, including three of the nation’s top-ranked public courses.
But what separates Maine’s public courses from other golf destinations is Maine’s Golf Concierge.
With dozens of Maine’s best public access courses to choose from the Golf Concierge can help you plan the perfect golf trip or let you know where the best golf is once you’re here. While not a golf trail in the traditional sense, Maine’s free Golf Concierge service allows travellers to create their own personalized “trail” based on geography, budget or course type. We can even help with suggestions on how to tie golf in with other activities (like whitewater rafting, chartering a boat or mountain biking) or interests (like eating lobster, shopping or finding a Maine micro-brewery).
Contact us and tell us the kinds of courses you like or what part of the state you’re heading towards and we’ll match you up with the perfect course to match your game including lodging, dining and other recreational activities. The advice is 100% FREE! Drop an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
The Golf Maine Association was founded in 1998 and represents Maine’s finest public access courses. The courses and prices are extremely varied and there is truly a course for every budget and handicap.
Many of the courses offer Stay & Play packages and many have dining and function facilities which are open to the public.
This Golf Maine website will also link you to all the member courses’ web pages, if one exists. Just click on the course photo or look for the link at the bottom of each member’s page.
